Censorship measures have now been lifted regarding the trials of the 20 mostly Muslim, Pakistani child rapists in Huddersfield, who have now been jailed.
The gang, which undertook a “campaign of rape and other sexual abuse” of vulnerable young girls, regularly gave their victims drink and drugs, threatening and sometimes actually abandoning the girls on the moors if the children did not do as they wanted.
Leeds Crown Court heard how one of the girls the men raped went on to give birth, another had an abortion, and one attempted suicide as a result of the abuse, The Times reports.
