It Is Necessary That We Teach Our Values To Our Children – For Our Survival:
The rewriting of history that is being attempted of late is a mere indicator of the loose hold that we as a nation have on reality. It is easily torn from our grasp because we hold it so loosely. In our day to day lessons whether in the classroom, the boardroom or with friends, neighbors and even those that we dislike, the learning curve is always active. Each interaction is an opportunity for agreement, disagreement, correction, anger, or joy. That loud noise that seems to roar in the background is the media playing their tune just a little too loud, a little out of tune and most importantly out of touch with We The People.
We have had our time of weeping and for some, it will be triggered by the simplest of reminders. A smell, a song, a visual, a memory, but however it takes place we return to those awful moments in time when one religious group decided to take us down. To do as their imams tell them and to exercise a fraudulent authority over us. In a land of law and order with the rule of law being challenged daily by those whose commitment is to ideologies that the Founding Fathers would be picking up their guns in reaction to, we must choose between the loud clattering of the left and that still small voice that shows in our hearts what is right and what is wrong. “Choose you this day whom you will serve”, was not just a a challenging statement but a constant theme that should underscore our every movement, our every thought, our every decision. Who do we serve? Why is America important to have continue? Why is the past important to save and remember? Why is it necessary to stand up and challenge the lies that would take down the Republic? Good questions. Your answers may determine the future of this Republic.
If your answer to the title is that “We will serve the Lord”, then your heart has lined up with the Founding Fathers and their intentions for America. Apart from our service to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that service would come with chains attached and if we wish to be “Free at Last” as proclaimed by Dr. Rev Martin Luther King Jr., then we must return to the roots of those freedoms in service to the God of the Founding Fathers not the God of popular opinion in the media. “Teach your children well” is what the hippies of the 60’s demanded at Woodstock, and they were correct, but what we teach them should be truth not falsehood and filled with the values that made America great, something that we can and need to do again and again, or we will perish, by forgetting the things that made us great.
